Sarah Elizabeth Eager, the first girl born of Anglo-American in San Antonio and who celebrated her 105th birthday anniversary in February, died today. Mrs. Eager, older than the State of Texas, was the daughter of Wilson Riddle, who was captured by Mexicans and was imprisoned in Perote in 1843 with Samuel Maverick and others. Mrs. Eager and her mother escaped capture by fleeing to Gonzales, Tex.

She married Robert Eager 80 years ago. He died in 1893. Among her recollections was of sitting next to Robert E. Lee a dinner party and hearing him give the toast: "If my state secedes I will go with her." Pilot's Fears Prove Groundless Hartford, May 5 (UP)A United Airlines plane, with seven passengers and a crew of three aboard, landed here tonight after the pilot circled Brainard Field for 48 minutes under the impression that his landing gear was jammed. Young Co. Bank at Oakland, today and fled with all currency and silver in the cash drawers and the vault. Bank officials said the amount was between $30,000 and $35,000. The men sped out of town northward. An alarm was broadcast within minutes and state police blocked off all roads leading from the area.

Oakland is a town of approximately 500, located 15 miles north of Roseburg. State police said the men fled in a 1940 or 1941 black Chevrolet coach or coupe. ONE WAS DESCRIBED as 35 years old, from 5 feet 6 to 8 inches in height, dark complexioned and with a slight accent. He wore a mask and scooped the money into a black leather case. The other was described as between 28 and 30 years old, 5 feet 8 to 10 inches in height, weighing 155 pounds.

He had long, curly black hair with prominent sideburns, and wore a gun belt, holster and carried a revolver. Woman Injured In Shooting Gains; 2 Others Critical Mrs. Mary Miller, 29 years old, wounded critically by her exhusband Saturday night, was reported slightly improved in City Hospital last night. Her condition, however, still was serious. Her ex-husband, Cartwright Hood, 35, 956 Lexington Avenue, who officials said shot himself below the heart after wounding Mrs.

Miller and her brother, Charles Wall, also 35, remained in critical condition. Wall's condition was listed as critical. The shooting occurred in the also, frame double house occupied by Mrs. Miller her husband, Hubert Miller, and and his family. The house is west of Ind.
