What is the best time to visit Dubai?

Dubai has worked hard to defy the elements, bringing year-round entertainment and lots to see and do. There’s a ton to do outdoors in the winter and lots available in the summer. Even our bus stops are air-conditioned as we stop at nothing to fulfil our great reputation as a year-long destination.

How can I get a visa to Dubai?

What languages are spoken in Dubai?

The official language of Dubai is Arabic, widely spoken by Emirati’s and the Arabic diaspora in the city, however, it is not a pre-requisite for feeling at home, as this vibrant city has become home to around 200 nationalities! As such, English is the most commonly spoken language, reflected in road signs, menus and many of Dubai’s digital spaces too.

Is there any social etiquette I should be aware of?

Physical interaction between people meeting for the first time usually starts and ends with a handshake, which when involving a woman, should be initiated by her. Pubic displays of affection are not accepted in Dubai beyond handholding and this should be kept into consideration.

Is it possible to do a day trip from Dubai to other Emirates?

Aside from Dubai, there are six other Emirates offering lots to see and do and they’re pretty much all a day-trip away. Visit the Louvre and Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi (1.5 hrs) or float amongst the mangroves in Ajman (45 mins), surf the Dunes of Umm Al Quwain (50 mins) or look out from the Gulf to the Arabian Sea sunsets on Fujairah’s mountainous coastline (1 hr 45 mins).

What’s the best way to move around Dubai?

With extensive investment into the city’s infrastructure and transport, getting around Dubai couldn’t be easier. There’s a lot of to choose from when planning you’re A-B, including rail, tram, sea, water-taxi, ride-hail apps, city taxis and car hire, they’re all hop-on & off options for exploring the city.

Are there any clothing considerations to keep in mind?

What to wear and when to care in Dubai is not as difficult to figure out as you might think. Keep the swimwear for the beaches, waterparks, public pools and spa areas and away from business districts and shopping malls. Conservative covering is required for entering a mosque including covering of the hair for women, whereas keeping yourself clothed from your shoulders till below your knee is expected in government and heritage sights.

What are your check-in/out times at Rove hotels in Dubai ?

To ensure your room is Rover-ready, check-in time is from 4 pm and we offer a laid-back check-out of 2 pm at our Rove hotels in Dubai, giving you enough time for one last dip in the pool or a last-minute shop. We’re flexible, so make sure to ask for an earlier or later check-in/-out if needed (subject to availability).

If I arrive early, could I still use the hotel's facilities before check-in?

100%! We’d love you to start enjoying the Rove experience as soon as you arrive at our hotels in Dubai, even if that’s before you get your room! Feel free to head to the gym or pool, or sit down and have a play with any of the games around our public spaces; try your hand at foosball, video games, or table tennis, and use our changing facilities to freshen up at your convenience.

Do you allow smoking in the hotel?

All our hotels in Dubai follow a healthy non-smoking policy with designated outdoor smoking areas that a Rovester will be happy to direct you to should you need it.

Do you provide airport transfer to/from the airport?

Do your hotels in Dubai offer laundry service?

We’ve got fully equipped self-service laundromats where you can wash, dry, and iron for a small fee instead. However, dry cleaning and other express laundry services are available upon request. Ask our Rovesters at the front desk for more info.

Yes, drive-in and self-park is available while spaces last, please check with your chosen Rove for further details.

Yes! We do our best to keep your dearest the nearest. Just let our Rovesters know at check-in and they’ll do their best to make it happen (subject to availability).
